Under the Hood

How Modexia Works

From a credit card swipe to your AI agent making autonomous payments — here's what happens behind the scenes.

01

Deposit with Your Credit Card

Use any major credit or debit card to fund your agent's wallet. No crypto exchange accounts, no manual bridging, no seed phrases. Just a standard payment like you're used to.

02

Circle Paymaster Converts to USDC

Behind the scenes, our server integrates with Circle's paymaster infrastructure. Your fiat deposit is automatically converted into USDC — a dollar-pegged stablecoin (1 USDC = $1). This happens in seconds, not hours.

03

Agent Wallet is Funded

The USDC lands directly in your agent's programmable wallet — a Circle MPC-secured smart contract account on Base. Your agent can now make payments, navigate paywalls, and transact autonomously.

Why It Matters

Built on infrastructure you can trust

MPC Wallet Security

Every agent wallet is backed by Circle's Multi-Party Computation (MPC) infrastructure. Private keys are split across multiple parties — no single point of failure, no seed phrase to lose.

Sub-Second Settlements

Payments settle on Base — an Ethereum L2. Transactions confirm in under a second with near-zero gas fees, making micro-payments and high-frequency agent operations practical.

Stablecoin-Native

All agent balances are denominated in USDC, a fully-reserved stablecoin always worth $1. No exposure to crypto volatility. Your agent's $50 stays $50.
